Below is a record of the initiatives and actions I worked on during my term as commissioner. For each, I've noted who raised the issue (a constituent, a business, or me), when it was raised, the related 311 case number if applicable, what the issue was, and how it was resolved.

Constituent Mar 20, 2026 N/A DDOT construction related to the Connecticut Ave Deckover project moved a bikeshare station into a residential parking area. Reached out to DDOT, confirmed temporary short-term movement to accommodate construction. Explained that bike parking is considered important by the city, and can be located in residential areas.
Constituent Mar 6, 2026 N/A Requesting ANC support for an application with the Board of Zoning Adjustment at 1735 Fraser Court. Permitting Committee reviewed, recommended support. ANC voted to support.
Sedgwick Apartments Tenants' Association Feb 10, 2026 N/A Asked to speak with the tenants' association to discuss various neighborhood issues and answer questions. Enjoyed meeting everyone and answering questions about building management issues, package theft, public space permitting, and liquor licensing.
Constituent Jan 31, 2026 Private Trash not picked up after snowstorm. Brought up with mayor's office; trash and recycling eventually picked up.

Business Dec 24, 2025 N/A Signature Lounge requested 24-hour operations and expanded alcohol sales hours as part of a routine license renewal. ANC engaged with constituents and the business to identify more realistic goals. Settlement Agreement signed in February allowing for one additional hour of sales and operations (3am) on weekends, dependent on security plans, noise control, etc.
Business Dec 11, 2025 N/A Rosemarino D'Italia requested a routine license renewal, but several constituents reported frequent violations and other serious issues related to peace and quiet in the neighborhood. Presented with significant evidence of the described situation, ANC protested the license renewal and is negotiating a Settlement Agreement with Rosemarino, or will advance to an ABCA protest hearing as of April 2026.
Constituent Dec 5, 2025 N/A Resident needed a heater replaced and had not been able to communicate with Washington Gas. Resident was able to get in touch with Washington Gas and find a solution to the problem.
Business Nov 11, 2025 N/A Platinum DC Club requested a new Settlement Agreement, as their current one was signed under different ownership. ANC engaged extensively with constituents, neighboring ANCs, and community organizations. Agreed to a new Settlement Agreement in April 2026.
Constituent Sep 15, 2025 Private Resident ordered a new trash can a year ago, paid for it, and had not received it. Reached out to DPW, resident received trash can successfully.
Constituent Aug 18, 2025 N/A Concern about whether the stop sign camera at the intersection of 19th and S Street NW is predatory. Asked DDOT to clarify justification for camera placement and requested data on citation history. DDOT shared the origin of the camera (resident request and subsequent safety investigation) and details, including number of violations every month for two years.
Constituent Aug 13, 2025 N/A Concern that license renewal for Across the Pond pub would exacerbate rodent issues in the alley behind the 1700 block of Connecticut Ave. Voted to establish a forthcoming standard new "settlement agreement" with the pub owner to ensure trash removal is handled properly. Settlement Agreement signed by the pub owner and ANC 2B successfully.
